THE HEK TRAINING LABS ARE PROCESSES DEVELOPED IN ONE-YEAR CYCLES, WITH FOUR IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS AND WEEKLY VIRTUAL SESSIONS.
HEK CONNECTS GROUPS OF PEOPLE IN VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES WITHOUT ACCESS TO TRADITIONAL EDUCATION WITH PROFESSIONAL FILMMAKERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD, WHO DONATE THEIR TIME TO CONTRIBUTE TO A CURRICULUM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR EACH COMMUNITY.
THIS PROCESS GENERATES, WITHIN A YEAR, THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE, INDEPENDENT, AND SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY.
TEAMS DO NOT NEED TO HAVE PRIOR TRAINING; THEY JUST NEED TO BE SPOKESPERSONS FOR THEIR COMMUNITY'S RESISTANCE.
